Degrees:

Medicine: The degree in Medicine prepares you to become a doctor in the best possible way. The duration is six years, divided in twelve semesters. The international lectures in English start every year in the end of September. Awarded title: Doctor of General Medicine (MUDr o MD degree).

Dental Medicine: The degree in Dental Medicine is divided in 12 semesters (6 years). The English courses begin in the middle/end of September. After successfully completing the degree, the student receives the following title: Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD degree).

The city of Košice is the second largest city in the Slovak Republic with approx. 250,000 inhabitants. One of the main advantages of not being a capital are the remarkably lower living costs. The eastern Slovak metropolis Košice became European Capital of Culture in 2013.

Application procedure:

In order to register at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University, you have to pass an admission test. This test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions from the following fields: Biology and Chemistry. There is no oral test. You will be provided with all learning material by MSA.
