Degrees:

Medicine: The degree in English for foreign applicants has been offered at the Third Medical Faculty since the academic year 1992/93. The degree is identical to the Czech one, taught in Czech. Graduates of the Faculty acquire a complete medical training with expanded expertise in the field of Preventive Health Care. After obtaining the degree, they are awarded the grade Dr. med. (Medicinae Universae Doctor).
The duration of the studies is 6 years. The beginning of studies is the 1st of October every year.

With its more than 1.25 million inhabitants, Prague is the cultural and economic centre in the country, as well as its political headquarters. Prague is an European transport junction and has a big international airport. You can reach it from many important European cities, as there are hundreds of flight connections to Prague.

Admission Procedure:

In order to study at the Third Faculty of Medicine – Charles University, the applicants need to pass an admission test. The test consists of multiple-choice questions, with 30 questions on Biology, 30 questions on Chemistry, and you can choose between 30 questions on Physics or on Mathematics. The applicants also have to pass an interview with one of the professors of the University.
