Values, Vision and Mission of the Latvia University of Agriculture

It is the aim of the university, to specifically promote the intellectual potential of students, so that after their graduation they will belong to the scientific and academic elite of any country. Beyond that, the university wants to significantly promote the research with the offered degrees. Especially the research takes up a very important position at the university. About 7.000 students and 300 lecturers are researching on important projects for Latvia, the Baltic area and the European Union.

Additionally, the university sees itself as a culture mediator between the most different nations, where the students are coming from. Experience and knowledge of Latvian experts should be internalized, preserved and advanced by the students, so that future generations can profit from this treasure of experience.

It is another goal of the university, to continually develop itself – in regard to education, science and research. In order to fulfill this goal, the university further builds out its cooperation agreements – both with national and international academic and scientific institutions, enterprises and organizations. A thorough and targeted preparation for the international job market will be secured through these cooperations.
