Language

In Pleven it is possible to get by in daily life with English. Young people have a very good level of English, in general, better than young people in Germany. This means you will be able to practise your English and achieve command of the language very soon.

The degree is taught in English: all lectures, tests and exams are held in English. Bulgarian is a compulsory course from the second year. It is important for you to have a good grasp of the language in order to work at the hospital. However, we would like to insist on the fact that the language of the degree is English.

Accommodation

There are two student dorms with more than 400 beds in double or triple rooms, with central heating and bathroom. The rent ranges from € 50-70 per month. However, it is also possible to rent your own flat in Pleven. We are happy to help you find one.

The city is 170 km away from the capital Sofia. There are good public transportation connections between the two cities. The international railway Sofia – Bucharest – Moscow goes through Pleven. In the city there are trolley buses.
