Language

The official language in Bulgaria is Bulgarian. Nevertheless, you can get along with English in the daily life in Varna very well. Many inhabitants speak English very well, so that there should not be any language barriers, until you mastered the local language. The study course will also take place in English.

Mobility

Mobility is no problem in Varna at all! The university is located in the city center, so that most ways can be easily walked. Apart from that, there is a well built out bus network, which you can use.

Accommodation

For students, who do not like to stay in the dormitories of the university, there is of course also the possibility to rent an own apartment or a room in the city center or in other parts of Varna. Sports & Recreation

In Varna you will find many opportunities to do sports. Besides many facilities, e.g. outdoor pools, there is a range of gyms. The big „Palace of Culture and Sports“ is especially in focus, in which you can do and watch different kind of sports. Each Saturday, there is a 5 kilometer run in Bulgaria. Due to changes in venue, the run is often taking place in Varna (e.g. in the Sea Garden). Beyond that, there is also the possibility to try out different water sports.

Going Out/Free time

As a university town and holiday paradise, Varna provides a wide range of offers in numerous domains. Besides many different restaurants, and also a large number of bars, the city has clubs, especially in vicinity to the beach, cinemas and shopping centers. All in all there are three shopping centers in Varna. Thus, there are no boundaries to your leisure activities, so that you can enjoy the time alongside your studies to the fullest.
