At our partner, the Iberian College International (ICI), the first pre medical course, this year, has started today. The course is taking place in sunny Alicante. A small group of prospective medical students, among them many MSA-fosterlings, have flown to Spain, to refresh and extend their knowledge, in the natural sciences, for their study start.
Here, in the next three weeks, the participants are being taught in comfortably small groups in the “crash course”. Biology, chemistry and physics are on their syllabus – basically everything, that is needed for medical studies or a medical admission exam. The lessons are conducted in English by university lecturers of the Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia. The educational content is thus at university level and also contains parts of anatomy in the biology lessons. At the end of the course, the soon-to-be doctors will get a course certificate, which will give the participants enormous benefits for a university application.
At the weekends, the prospective students can enjoy the advantages of Alicante, with beaches, many shopping possibilities, good restaurants and many opportunities to go out and go clubbing.
If you have missed the chance this time, you can sign up for the next crash course from 13th July to 30th July, or if you want to prepare even more intensively, you can attend the 12-week intensive course from 28th September to 18th December instead. In the intensive course, the lessons will cover more than just the natural sciences, you will also learn to be competent in medical English and anatomy.
