New Partner – The Comenius University Bratislava

With the Comenius University Bratislava in Slovakia, the international study place agency MSA has gained a new partner university again. Hence, anyone interested in studying medicine in Slovakia can not only sign up for the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, but also for the Comenius University in Bratislava now. The university is especially interesting for students that want to see many different cities and countries and want to travel around, because Bratislava is only 5 kilometers away from the Austrian border and 55 kilometers from Vienna. Additionally they can also visit nearby Hungary and its cities.

The Comenius University has already been stablished in 1919 and is therefore not only the oldest university of Slovakia, but also the biggest. Currently, about 26,000 students are studying at 13 different faculties of the university. The Comenius University has, out of all universities in the country, the greatest number of international students – from EU, non-EU states and also from overseas. A special feature of the university is, that the lessons are based on their own research, paired with international knowledge.

The Comenius University offers a high-quality education in the field of medicine and dentistry and continually does everything in order to maintain the study courses on highest standards and to even advance them. At the new partner university you can study medicine and dentistry in English. Both study courses last six years each and are, with 360 ECTS, Bologna conform.

Bratislava is the capital and simultaneously the biggest city of Slovakia with its 420,000 inhabitants. With is vicinity to Hungary and the German-speaking countries, especially to Austria, it is a very interesting place to study medicine abroad for everyone, who wants to discover more than just Slovakia. You can easily reach all destinations, especially Austria and Hungary, which border to Bratislava. Special features of the city are the numerous natural green spaces in the middle of the city, because some surrounding woods are reaching into the city. Each year, Bratislava is visited by many tourists and medical tourists.

The English study courses of medicine are offered already since 1993 by the Comenius University and thus the university has over 20 years of experience with international students and their needs. Numerous successful graduates of this study offer have made the Comenius University internationally known. In general, the university gains more and more renown and recognition.
