Studying Psychology With Bachelor As Acquirable Degree

Madrid or Pécs, Which Place to Study Suits Me Better?

Many people would like to read other people’s mind – of course that is not possible. The study of psychology however comes very close to this wishful thinking. You will learn to empathize with people, you can help them with psychological imbalances and diseases and you can stand by their side in difficult life situations with helpful advice. Especially in our today’s fast moving world, more and more mental diseases emerge, for example a burnout – here you could begin to help the mentally ill patient to recover a contented life.

Why should you not connect pleasure and study, while additionally gathering foreign experience for your future professional path? There is no reason against that, rather for it. MSA offers two places where you can study psychology, Madrid in Spain and Pécs in Hungary. The countries are very distinct, what connects them however is a high-quality study of psychology, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) as a degree. This academic degree is being recognized in the entire European Higher Education Area. Of course, you can start a masters program after your acquired Bachelor’s degree everywhere without any problems.

Studying at the Universidad Europea de Madrid, you will learn the basics of psychology, but you can also specialize yourself simultaneously, for one of the five specialization fields. All in all studies will last four years. In Pécs however, you acquire the basics in three years, imparted with modern learning methods, but also with traditional methods. The specialty here is, that the focus is not just on course contents, but also on the development of the personality. This development is very important for the future professional path, because the manner of a psychologist can reveal much about his working philosophy. A self-confident and calm manner can help to give the patient a feeling of safety and trust. If you do not want to be a classical psychologist, there are various other possibilities to take action in the professional life. You can work in forensics, at companies and authorities, in the field of market research or at schools. The career prospects are very diverse and everyone can choose according to their personal preference.

Of course, both countries have their individual merits. Madrid, the Spanish capital, is one of the biggest metropolises in Europe with a population of 3.2 million. There you can always experience something new and also culturally many places can be visited. Even the campus of the Universidad Europea de Madrid offers many things for the students. The Villaviciosa de Odón Campus, La Moraleja Campus and the University Health Clinics, are the basic modules for training students from all over the world. Modern facilities and a complete service for practice tuition, is what characterizes the campus. You will find fully equipped laboratories, student dormitories, sport clubs, a language center, libraries and many other offers for students.

Certainly, Madrid can also convince with great weather, the beach and many other conditions, which will have a positive side effect for your studies. Pécs in the south of Hungary, on the
contrary, is rather small with a population of 150,000, but is the fifth biggest city and one of the oldest in Hungary. Culturally Pécs can also score, with, for example, an annually cultural week and also with a music festival. It also will not get boring there.

For which location you decide, also depends on personal preference of the circumstances besides your studies. If you eventually want to live and experience many new things in a big metropolis, then Madrid will be the right place for you, where you can also specialize at the beginning of your psychological studies and where you will find everything you need on the campus. If you rather like smaller cities and you want to take it easy besides your studies and want to personally develop in a more familiar environment, then Pécs is recommendable. If the length of study is really important for you, then you may rather want to study three years in Hungary, instead of four years in Spain.

However the personal preference may be, both courses of study convince, if Spain or Hungary, with high-quality learning contents, just like you would study them in Germany.
