Dentistry: The study of dentistry at the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia takes 5 years, during which you will acquire a total of 300 ECTS credits. The course is taught in English and is completed with the degree Grado en Odontología. The University focuses on the individual support of each student. For this reason, teaching at UCAM takes place in small groups. The lecturers at UCAM consider personal contact with students in a university context to be essential. Each student is assigned a tutor who intensively supervises them as a mentor during their studies. This ensures a first-class and interactive education. UCAM owns a virtual dissecting table – one of the most advanced medical tools in the world. The use of this latest technology in teaching helps medical students to discover and learn the anatomy of the human body in a realistic and reliable way. UCAM’s dentistry program also offers a variety of exciting additional subjects that are not available at other universities in this form.
Location and Surroundings:
Murcia is located on the east coast of Spain and is the capital of the region of the same name. With over 440,000 inhabitants, it is the seventh largest city in the country and is located only a few kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. The Spanish port cities of Alicante and Valencia can be quickly reached from Murcia. Murcia’s airport is located 40 kilometers outside the city. During the summer months, non-stop flights to Frankfurt are operated from there. The city is conveniently located along several motorways. There are direct connections to Granada and Madrid. In addition, the Autovía del Mediterráneo passes Murcia. This motorway follows the entire Mediterranean coast. The region of Murcia, where almost 1.5 million people live, offers a varied flora and fauna. More than 250 kilometers of coastline with more than 200 beaches, pine forests, the Massif of Revolcadores and vineyards – the regional landscape could hardly be more diverse. Another very special feature are the naturally created azure-blue pools in the hinterland of Murcia.
Application procedure:
As part of the admission procedure, the university first checks your application documents. Furthermore, an interview and an English test are part of the application procedure. By means of the interview, the selection committee wants to gain an impression of your motivation for studying dentistry and your oral English skills. The university internal English test also serves to assess your language skills.
