The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the CEU Valencia cooperates closely with the veterinary clinic, so that students can participate actively in the 24-hour service of the clinic. Furthermore, the students benefit from access to the teaching and research farm, where they will be also confronted with bigger animals such as horses or cows. They will also become familiar with the ethnology of the animals and their reproduction.
Clinical Veterinary Hospital
The Clinical Veterinary Hospital at the CEU Valencia is a public facility and works round the clock. The specialised staff have been trained to face emergency cases and some of them belong to the staff of the CEU. Students are included in all practical cases that occur during their practical training at the Veterinary Hospital. The specialised staff enable students to receive a particularly effective training, closely related to practice.
Teaching and research farm
During lectures at the teaching and research farm, the students will be taught to work with bigger animals, such as horses and cattle. Students will be partly included in the work at the farm already from the first year. During the degree, this workload will increase. The teaching and research farm is also used for research purposes and the development of projects of great interest for both national and international companies.
The Veterinary Faculty has more than 17 years of experience and it is a member of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and the International Veterinary Student Association (IVSA). It is the only Faculty that offers Veterinary Medicine studies in English, Spanish and French. In addition, there are agreements with Bioparc and L’Oceanogràfic.
