The University
The University of Pécs in the southwest of Hungary is currently the place of study for about 22,000 national and international students. The university is one of the most renowned Hungarian universities and has firmly established itself in the international higher education landscape. The university is – with international degree programs – more than living up to its leading role in the field of education in Hungary. Its scientific and medical influence extends way beyond the borders of the country. European standards of education were integrated into the university long ago, so that degrees are recognized throughout Europe and in many other countries, according to the Bologna process. The Offered Degree Programs
At the University of Pécs, the degree programs medicine, dentistry, pharmacy or psychology can be studied. The university is especially popular among German students, since the medicine and dentistry degrees are offered in English and German. The general medicine degree has a length of 6 years, the degree programs dentistry and pharmacy have a length of 5 years and the degree program of psychology lasts 3 years. All four programs are adjusted to the ECTS system and are therefore recognized throughout Europe and many other countries. Besides the excellent teaching, the university has very modern teaching facilities. The faculty of medicine closely works together with the clinic and the faculty of health sciences. 25 clinics, 23 institutes and more than 500 doctors and scientists participate in this educational program. The Application Procedure / The Admission Exam
The application procedure at the University of Pécs is different according to the language of studies. If you want to study medicine, dentistry or pharmacy in English, you have to take an admission exam, which consists of a written and oral part. For the German degree programs medicine, dentistry and psychology, you have to take part in the MSA application procedure.
